Living Autistic, Living Strong
I'm autistic, so what! What can you learn from me? Is she an expert? Does she know what she's talking about? Can she really help me?
I want to be transparent with you all. I won't claim to be an expert and make all your problems disappear or have all the answers.
What I can give you is my experiences and unwavering support. I'm ok with learning by trial and error.
I do know that as a family-oriented group, willing to work as a team to come up with solutions, we will go far and never give up on one another.
Let's do some journaling together. Think of a moment when you felt misunderstood and didn't know how to communicate your feelings, which would be understood. Rethink that situation and rewrite how you would like the outcome to be.
Share this with a friend or family member and release it. Let it go and never let it have power over you again.
Embrace yourself, being autistic is not a limitation but a unique perspective that the world "could" learn from because what you have to give will enlighten any community, speak up. Your voice matters, let's always support each other and work together as a family-oriented team. We got this and will never give up on each other, even if we feel the world has given up on us or wants to understand us.
